Note: Obituary: Rose E. Garland, 74, Junction City, died Sunday, March 14, 1993, at a Junction City care center. She was born July 5, 1918, in Geary County, the daughter of Alva Louisand Effie Crane Seley. Mrs. Garland was a member of the auxiliary to Aerie No. 830 of theEagles Lodge in Junction City. She was married to Sylvan Garland July 1, 1961, in Junction City. He preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Elmer and Roy Lee Seley. Four nephews and two nieces survive, including Larry Garland of White City. Services will be at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, at Mass-Hinitt-AlexanderFuneral Home in Junction City. Burial will be in Skiddy Cemetery in Skiddysouth of Junction City. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Casketbearers will be Marvin McClain, Walter Muehlenburg, John Moyer,John Kohler, Laryl Dittman and Randy Parker. The organist for the servicewill be Weinman with soloist, Bill Weinman.
