Obituary: Myrtle Elizabeth Kahle, 93, Overbrook, died Saturday, June14, 1997, at an Overbrook nursing home.
Mrs. Kahle and her husband had farmed near Alta Vista, Eskridge,Auburn, Topeka and Overbrook. She worked at Dr. Brinkley's hospital inMilford.
She was born October 21, 1903, in Milford, the daughter of FrancisLincoln and Clara Belle Crane Seley. She attended school in Milford. Shelived in Overbrook since 1957.
She married William Ernest Kahle on October 6, 1926, in Emporia. Hedied July 14, 1974. Mrs. Kahle also was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Richardson, Overbrook, andDonna Butts, Topeka; a son, Billy Kahle, Calahan, Colorado; 12grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday at First Christian Church inOverbrook. Graveside services will be at 2 PM Tuesday at Prairie View Cemetery southeast of Alta Vista. Mrs. Kahle will lie in state from 3 to 8 PM Monday at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook where relativesand friends will meet from 7 to 8 PM. She also will lie in state after 9AM Tuesday at the church.

Note: August, 1996, Myrtle is the only surviving child of Frank and Clara.
