Note: rain as he was walking beside the tracks. He married four times. Mary Salisbury was his first wife she was 20-21 when she died. Gertrude was only four years old at the time. His second and third wife are unknown at this time and his last wife was Amelia Hamilton. Grandpa was a fisherman who lived in Dallas City on the Mississippi River where he fished with his son, Bert and his son-in-law Charles Burdette Snook. They used nets to drag the bottom of the river for shells they sold to button manufacters.
