ZIMRI ROBERTS return #4 for 1831 The orphans of WILLIAM ROBERTS, deceased, in account cusmen(?) with ZIMRI ROBERTS, guardian from the 1st Jan 1831 to Dec 31, inclusive.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WILLIAM ROBERTS OWNED LOT #130 IN 4TH district, originally Henry Co., now Fayetteville. He sold it on April 26, 1828. The question that arrises here concerns the names used in the documents for WILLIAM ROBERTS. In three separate places, on the same page recorded by WILLIAM MCBRIDE, the name is written WILLIAM ROBERTSON in two places, and in another place it is signed WILLIAM ROBERTS. Since the records are only as reliable as the people who recorded them, the person known as WILLIAM ROBERTS, WILLIAM ROBERTSON, and WILLIAM ROBBINS, are one and the same.

I, ZIMRI ROBERTS, of the county of Tallapoosa, State of Alabama. do solemnly swear or affirm, in presence of Almighty God, that I will henceforth faithfully support , protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the Union of States there under and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all laws and proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves. So help me God.
