a. Note:   Paul Elmer was the eigth child of Clarence Blood and Laura Dandurand. He was born on January 1, 1909 in Chester, MA. His mother died about 2 weeks after giving birth.
  Paul is found in the 1910 census for Cheshire, Berkshire Co., MA., living with Phoebe Trottier, his Aunt. His father had died in 1910 and Phoebe was Paul's father's sister. He is 10 years old in this census.
  1920 Paul is living with his brother Arthur in West Springfield. Paul is 19 and working as a machinist on the railroad.
  Paul first married Anna Desautel on November 25, 1926 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. They are both 25 years old. Paul and Anna are living in Springfield according to the 1930 city directory. They are living in a boarding house at 3 Pearl Street. Paul's brother Arthur had divorced by then and was rooming at the same residence. Family members do not remember there being any children from this marriage.
  Paul and Anna divorced and he remarried Mildred Florence Morse. Date and location have not been found to date. It is not known if any children resulted from this marriage..
  Paul died on December 29, 1960 in Springfield, MA. He had cancer of the bladder. Paul is buried at Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield, MA. Mildred died on July 4, 1961 at the age of 62 years and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery with Paul.
  Paul's first wife Anna remarried Louis Mandirola on July 19, 1947 in Westfield, Hampden Co., MA. at the age of 45. Her place of birth is given as Roxton Falls, Quebec, Canada.
