Note: FAMILY STORIES SAY THAT WHEN FREDERICK DESERTED FROM THE SERVICE HE WENT TO BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA AND WORKED 7 TO 9 YEARS IN THE LOGGING CAMPS. HE WENT TO SAN FRANCISCO EN-ROUTE TO CANADA 3 DAYS BEFORE THE SAN FRANCISCO EARTHQUAKE OF APRIL 18, 1906.
