Note: Arthur Eugene Clements, Jr., was Killed In Action, August 8, 1944, Guam, Marianns Islands, 12th Headquarters, 3rd Marine Division. Gene, as known by his family, was killed while attempting to save the life of a fellow Marine. A road was named in his honor within the 12th Headquarters Area. He was later awarded the Silver Star for his heroic actions.
