Note: Obituary: "Martha L. Matejcek, 93, died Thursday morning in the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. Memorial mass will be Thursday
at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church, with burial of cremated remains
to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
She was born July 30, 1897, in Howells, Neb., the daughter of Vaclav and Anna Hruska. They moved to Montana in 1904, settling in Lewistown.
On Feb. 3, 1919, she married Frank A. Matejcek in Lewistown. They farmed
within 40 miles of Lewistown all of their lives. He preceded her in
death in 1959. She entered the Central Montana Nursing Home in 1969, where she lived until the time of her death.
She is survived by a son, Albert of Lewistown; daughter, Anna M. Irish of
Lewistown; a brother, Frank Hruska of Lewistown; four grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
