Note: Obituary in The Billings Gazette 10/29/86: "Caroline A. Stilson and her husband ranched at Hilger, Winifred and southeast of Lewistown until
retiring. She lived in Whitehall with her daughter, returning to
Lewistown in April of this year.
Mrs. Stilson, 83, died Monday afternoon in Central Montana Nursing Home
after a long illness.
Born in Howells, Neb., a daughter of Vaclav and Anna Hruska, she and her
family moved to Lewistown where she attended school. On Oct. 2, 1922,
she married Arthur M. Stilson in Lewistown; he died in 1966.
Survivors include a son, A.J. "Buck" of Lewistown; two daughters, Mrs.
Gordon (Margaret) Irish of Whitehall and Mrs. John (Mildred) Bogan of
Gaithersburg, Md.; two brothers, George and Frank Hruska, and two
sisters, Anna Valach and Martha Matejcek, all of Lewistown; eight
grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Cloyd Chapel. Mass will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Leo's Catholic Church with burial
in Lewistown City Cemetery."
