Notes
a. Note:   Lulu said Ernest's middle name is Leo, but it was dropped when he was young. Lulu didn't even know he had a middle name. One time the famlies were having a picnic. Ernest's cousin, Leo (Lulu said Leo was very
spoiled and a brat), after the grownups were away, licked all the
frosting off the cake with his finger. The adults came back and Leo said that Ernest did it. Ernest never used his middle name after that. Obituary in Great Falls Tribune November 30, 1983: "Hruska, Ernest, 77, died Monday at a Lewistown hospital following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cloyd Chapel. Cremation
has taken place. Born on a ranch near Lewistown, he attended elementary
school in Lewistown and some high school classes in Lewistown. He worked on the ranch for many years. In 1934, he married Lulu Criswell in
Hysham. He quit farming in 1937 and spent four years as a mechanic in
Gillette, Wyo. He moved back to Lewistown in 1942 and worked for a time
at the Montana elevator. Later he managed the Farmers Union-GTA
terminal. He was an acclaimed woodworker. He is survived by his wife
and a son, Ernie Jr., both of Lewistown; three grandchildren; three
sisters, Mrs. Anna Valach and Mrs. Martha Matejcek, both of Lewistown,
and Mrs. Caroline Stilson, Whitehall; and three brothers, Albert, George
 and Frank, all of Lewistown."
