Notes
a. Note:   s the most beautiful and hip Grandma that anyone could possible have !!. Grandma always had a big meal ready and waiting for you when you would get to her home, and she always tried to have your favorite foods too. When I would go to her house she always made me Chocolate Gravy and homemade bisquits.. How I loved her cooking. I was never bored being with Grandma, we would go into "Grandpa's" room and she would let me jump on that big feather bed, then we would sit in the floor and she would pull out the big Trunks that she kept under her bed. We would sit there for hours going through those trunks.. Grandma loved looking at all the post cards and letters that everyone would send to her.Grandma never through away anything that was given to her, and she could always tell you who gave it to her and when. Grandma especially loved to look at her pictures of her family. There was not a one of us that Grandma couldn't tell you a story about, she was so very proud of each and everyone of us.. How she loved it when we would visit her, she couldn't wait to get to church so that she could show you off to the congregation. I would always ask Grandma at bed time if I could brush her hair, she'd let me and I remember thinking to myself how I wish my hair was like hers, so long and beautiful. When I was a kid and would stay with her, I use to dread going to bed because I knew that I would be on my knees next to the bed for what seemed like a life time next to Grandma while she prayed- And when she prayed now let me tell you, she prayed.!! I would think to myself, she's got to run out of names pretty soon. She never left anyone out. Now that I am a adult and see things more clearly, I thank God for all those times that Grandma prayed for me when she had me on her mind, and how she sacrificed her time and got down on her knees for me. The good Lord truly blessed each of us with Grandma. I truly believe that Grandma is and always will be my Guardian Angel. How I wish that I could go back in time and tell her just how much she meant to me. When I think about how Grandma lived her life, I think about this poem " How do you live your Dash?". It truly speaks about Grandma, I hope that you all get a blessing like I do each time I remember..Grandma
"HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR DASH"
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.
He noted that first came her date of birth, 19 July, 1907.
And spoke the following date with tears, 06 Sept, 1990.
But he said what matered most of all
Was the dash between those years. (1907-1990)
For the dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.....
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
  For it matters not, how much we own;
 The cars....the house.....the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.....
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
 That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
 And always try to understand
 The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
 And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
 Like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often with a smile.....
 Remembering that this special dash
 Might only last awhile.
So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash....
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spend your dash?

I love you Grandma...Sure thank you for all those times that you believed in me, prayed for me, loved me when I surely never deserved it. I only hope that as I have grown that I have made you proud..
This Family Tree is dedicated to Grandma & Grandpa..,Uncle Willard..., Aunt Velma..., my sweet Daddy(James)..,. Aunt Lorine...., Uncle Joe..., and Uncle Gary... I hope that you enjoy reading about your family as much as I enjoyed researching it.
I love you all very much.....
 Dawn
Note:   How do you begin to describe someone who has touched so many lives? I thought that Grandma wa
