Note: 1770 and for a short time occupied a log cabin on road 13 while he wasbuilding a house on road 14.
He was located on Moose Mountain. Later called Tenney Hill and wasstill called Tenney Hill in 1953. It is about four miles air lineeast of the Connecticut River and one mile east of the center of thetown where three of his sons resided, David, Andrew and John Jr,during their natural lives. At the time he tookup residence inHanover there were only 13 families in town.
