a. Note:   Anna McGinnis-Hoover obituary from the KC Star 9/10/92:
  ANNA M. HOOVER Anna Margaret McGinnis Hoover, 82, Independence, died Sept. 9, 1992, at a hospital in Houston. Services
 will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church,
 Independence; grave side services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the
 Pleasanton (Kan.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m.
 Friday at the Hinton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the
 Anna Hoover memorial fund of the church. Mrs. Hoover was born in
 Linn County, Kan., and lived in Pleasanton before moving to this area
 25 years ago. She was a member of the church. Her husband, Herbert C. Hoover Sr., died in 1974. Survivors include three sons,
 Robert E. Hoover, Independence, the Rev. Ronald Lee Hoover,
 Albuquerque, N.M., and Dr. Herbert Charles Hoover Jr., Boston;
 five daughters, Shirley Ann Farmer, Tulsa, Okla., Betty Lou Jeans,
 Amarillo, Texas, Mary Jo Twogood, St. Paul, Minn., Herna Charlene
 Plaisted, North Kansas City, and Carol Jean Staton, Lansing, Mich.;
 a brother, Lee McGinnis, Gardner in Johnson County; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
