a. Note:   At the time of Charles' death he was living with his son Joe in Sarver, Pa. He had gone to his sisters home in Rimersburg,Pa. for Christmas Day. There had been a terrible snow storm that night. His car stalled on the way to Joe's and he walked accross the field to the house. Joe heard him come in and came down stairs. Charles' hands were dirty from working on the car. He washed his hands in the kitchen and sat down by the fire holding out his hands. He said to Joe " Guess I'm hogging all the fire." Joe poked the fire; Charles made a gasp, threw up his hands and died. His obit says he died at 2:00 a.m. at his home in Kittaning,Pa.
