Note: Margaret Sue Haynes was born and raised in Ragland. She was the oldest child of Fred & Pearl Haynes.
She graduated from Ragland High School in a class of twelve.
She worked in a grocery store in Ragland.
She also worked in Talladega at the Brecon Munitions defense plant during World war II.
She then worked with the State Employment Office in Talladega. There she met John Evans Pace, Jr. where they became engaged and married in Jackson,Mississippi in 1948. Their only child, John Evans Pace,III was born on November 17,1949 in Talladega,Alabama.
Margaret then became a homemaker until she returned to work in 1968 at the First National Bank,The John A. Hand Branch. She worked there until she retired in June, 1980.
