Note: This is strictly speculative. On the 1871 Census, there's a Charles Hall at Vespra. Age 38, Wesleyan Methodist, wheelwright, born in Ontario. His background needs to be checked out. He could well be the son who is father of the brothers John L. b: abt. 1864 (according to 1891 Census) and Charles b: abt. 1872, who I firmly believe to be grandsons of Humber and Leah. In 1871, his household includes a John L. Hall, age 9. We find John L. (age 26) and his brother Charles (age 18) living nextdoor to Thomas James Hall in 1891, and next-but-one to TJ's father Joseph Butters Hall (at Portage la Prairie). Since they're not JB's sons, but they have the same background as JB's children, I believe them to be his nephews, sired by a brother other than John Grantham Hall (whose childrens' names are all known to me). The wheelwright shop that Charles is operating in 1871 is shown to be owned by a John Hall (could be his father or his brother).
