Note: * Damon had a store and farm in Lincolnville, PA. The deed to the land showed a purchase from Stowell Bancroft for 31 acres dated 24-Dec-1894. His wife Alice inherited Rumsey land (across the road from John Brown's Tannery) from her father. * He drilled for oil in Mars, PA (date unknown) and did not hit oil and sold the lease to someone who did hit oil. * He and his family lived in Erie, PA at 437 West Ninth Street and had a store at 702 East Eleventh Street in 1912. * He had a grape farm in Westfield, NY. (1913-1920) The farm was made up of the 16th and 27th lots of the fourth township and the fourteenth range of the Holland Land Co. survey. It was bounded by Persons road, then on the west by the A.W. Rumsey farm, then on the North by the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad, then on the southwest by the James M. Johnston/ Ralph M. Stennett land. * In 1920 he moved back to Erie, PA at 2222 Wagner Ave. and had a store at the corner of Wagner Ave. and the Buffalo Road (26th St.), which is now Carmen's Restaurant. He lived here until shortly before his death in 1926.
