a. Note:   Alabama, near the Alabama river, close to the community of Chance. "Pappy" got his nickname drag racing. He had a 1962 Chevrolet that son Ralph drove to sixty some odd straight victories drag racing at tracks in KY, TN, and MO. Pappy loved cars and kept them spotlessly clean, and well tuned. He love to play "bid" dominoes and "high nine" card games. Pappy last worked as a maintenance mechanic for Air Products in Calvert City Ky before his retirement. He is buried in Marshall County Memorial Gardens on Hiway 641 between Calvert City and Benton KY.
