a. Note:   Elliot Wilburn had in his possession before he died, Stark Shreve's gun, the one he supposedly had in his possession on the day he was killed. Earl Wilburn, Elliot's father, found it on the railroad tracks in Mill Creek close to where Stark was shot. Evidently, Stark or one of his son's threw it there, because they didn't want the law to know that Stark had a gun. Elliot Wilburn told this to Louise Forinash before he died.
