Note: s year of 1793 from his research. I trust his thoroughness. It is told that Owen[possibly also this name could have been Eugene or John in Ireland~~just information I was told while I was over there, not necessarily connected to our Owen? and Gaelic for Owen is Orne] came over with all his children except an infant, and his eldest son[or one of his brothers?],possibly with name of George, who stayed behind to care for the infant, who died later. With Owen came two[now, Luke says five brothers, but I thought I had always heard two] of his brothers, who evidently were lost track of, though it is believed, with two heading up to Maine, and one to Massachusetts. It is probably that they entered through St. John, New Brunswick...or possibly Boston. There is a Hannigan family which came through Ellis Island, which more likely connects to the Massachusetts/Rhode Island branches, possibly unconnected to our lines?
