a. Note:   could talk up a storm and was proud of lady luck always coming her way. She wasn't very enthusiastic about my father's marriage to an Italian and she really didn't show much interest in her first grandchild: a son: Stanley S. Kuskosky Jr.. Some many years later that scene would repeat itself as the daughter-in-law: Concetta Micali showed the same lack of interest in her first-born grandson. She had hoped for a grand-daughter instead. And so it goes that what goes around comes around. In those days ethnicity was important and stereotyping was common. Many weren't liked simply because of where they were from. Well the other children married Polish mates and they were favored and Grandma made no qualms about it. There was no love lost between Grandma and my mother: Connie (Concetta Micali)Kuskosky (Sicilian).
