Note: Regional Medical Center in Pottsville. Born March 25, 1921 in Klingerstown, he was the son of the late James W. and Emma Bertha Rothermel Schadel, and was educated in Hubley Twp. schools. He was a mold operator for AMP, Inc. in Harrisburg for 13 years, prior to retiring in 1986; and had previously worked for Chivinski Builders in Pottsville following 29 yearss of employment in the coal industry. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Erdman; and the Sacramento and Klingerstown Fire Companies. He also served as a former assistant scout master for Erdman Boy Scout Troop No. 152. He was the widower of Mae E. Snyder. Surviving are four sons, Ronald of Gratz, Glen of Halifax, Bruce of Sacramento and Ricky of Erdman; a daughter, Peggy Herb of Halifax; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Guy Schadel. Funeral services were held Aug. 6 from his church. Burial was in the church cemetary.
