Note: Obituary of Marvaleen E. Cornish/Barringer nee Edinger FOSTORIA -- Marvaleen E. Cornish, 68, of 904 S. Poplar St., Fostoria, died at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born July 14, 1924, in McCutchenville, to Ralph S. and Nora M. (Whicker) Edinger. She married Elmer D. Barringer, who preceded her in death. She then married George R. Cornish on June 24, 1972, and he survives. Also surviving are a son, Roger D. Barringer, North Baltimore; a stepson, George R. Cornish, Upper Sandusky; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Paula Diane) Weaver, North Baltimore; Mrs. Theodore (Angela) Abramson, Fostoria; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Rodger (Frances) Brodman, Fort Ord, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Edinger, Helena; Duane Edinger, Risingsun; Don Edinger, Fostoria; and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Patricia) Runion, Bettsville; Mrs. Ronald (Ruth) Hedden, Arcadia. She was preceded in death by two stepsons, Howard E. Cornish and John G. Cornish; two brothers, Ralph Edinger Jr., Dale Edinger; and a sister, Mrs. Delbert (Ethel) Robinson. Mrs. Cornish was a homemaker. She was a member of Girton Church of God, Girton. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Gerald Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetary, in Bloom Township of Wood County. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore, and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
