Note: Buried at Rockford Cemetery, Coosa Co. Alabama. Arthur P. was a respected Baptist Minister for over 40-years in Coosa Co. at Concord Baptist church and Shady Grove Baptist Church. He also preached at Seaman Baptist church and New Home Baptist Church in North Elmore Co. I attended his last sermon which was held just before he died at New Home Baptist Church. It was a great sermon and I have a tape of the sermon which was pased down to me from my father. He and Evie Lee also had a unamed infant son that was born and died on the same day January 13, 1935. Arthur Patrick was married twice. His first wife little is known about her but I am doing some research. It is believed her first name was Gertrude or Doris T. They had two children by this marriage, a son named Bernard Thomas and a daughter named Mable. Arthur Patrick went to Birmingham and got a job driving a trolley car. It was here that he met and married Doris. Today, October 21, 1997, I talked to Ralph Thomas, Arthur Patrick's only living child and he told me that he could't remember Gertrude's last name but that she died last year (1996), in Georgia and is buried there. He doesn't remember what her last name was, nor what cemetery, or where in Georgia she was buried. Ralph did tell me that Bernard had been married twice and the first one was name Margaret and the second was name tiny. Bernard had one daughter still alive, her name is Patty? and she is believed to be still in the Birmingham area. Arthur P. was also the first pastor of Seamon Baptist Church located off Alabama Highway #9 in North Elmore County, Alabama. He played the piano by ear, was an expert at crossword puzzles. His will was recorded in Coosa County, Alabama on July 30, 1956. Witnesses to the will were Aleene LeCroy and Mac Thomas. The will was filed on September 17, 1964.
