a. Note:   rville, Illinois, on May 2, 1910. They had two sons, Harry Edward born in Plevan Kansas on December 3, 1910 and Leo Stephen born in Taylorville Illinois ( Daddy told me it was Decator ILL) on July 29, 1913. Lottie died in Illinois while the boys were young, and Arnold moved back to Kansas. While living in Illinois, he worked on the Illinois Central Railroad.
  After moving back to Kansas, hew was drafted to serve in World War 1 as a result of having lived in Illinois. He went into service in 1918, serving with the Company D, 329th Infantry 83rdd division, A.E. F. He awas also with the 151st Supply company, He served in France, coming home in 1919.
  In Hutchinson, he worked at the Morton Salt Company, then the Santa Fe Railroad. While working for the Santa Fe, he met Hazel McKinster who was also employed there. They were married on August 20, 1921. AFter their marriage, they lfet by train fro a honeymoon in Colorado. The train they were on struck a car and kille dthe driver near St John Kansas. They had two daughters, Hazel Edythe, and Helen Irene. Arnold suffered a heart attack the summer of 1952, then retiring with a disability pension. He died January 24. 1955. He was a Member of the Masonic Lodge 140m the York Rite, and a veteran of World war 1
  He was buried in Fairlawn Cemetry with full Masonic rites.
Note:   Arnold Hayes was born March 15, 1889. He was married to Lodi Shaeffer of Taylo
