He was a chemist & assayer at Standard (lead) Smelting & Refining Co in Durango Colorado in 1895-1896. He was a research chemist at Anaconda Copper Mining (smelting & electrolytic-refining) Co in Anaconda Montana in 1896-1898. He was Superintendant CP-Chemicals Department at Western Chemical Co in Denver in 1898-1900. He was a Professor at Colorado School of Mines in 1898-1899. he was Superintendant at U.S. Redn & Refining Co (chlorinating & cyaniding Cripple Creek gold-ores) in Colorado Springs in 1900-1903. He was General Superintendant at Portland Gold Mining Company Mill in Colorado Springs in 1903. He was a Chemical Engineer and then Director, Treasurer & General Superintendant at Western Chemical Manufacturing Company in 1903-1909. He was Director, Vice President and General Manager in 1909-1920. He was Director & Vice President in 1920-1931. He was Director & President in 1931. He was Manager of the Research Department with Midwest (oil) Refining Co in Casper Wyoming & Denver Colorado in 1920-1921. He Engr ore-flotation patent litigation with Mineral Separation Co in New York. He was a distributor of Oldsmobile Autos for Colorado, Wyoming, Western Nebraska and New Mexico in 1922-1924. He did the same for Jordan Cars in 1924-1925. He was a construction worker on Parkland Apartments in Tampa Florida in 1925-1928. He operated an Apple Orchard in Quincy Illinois in 1928-1929. He was a Chemical Engineer with Humphreys Phospahte Co. in Vernal Utah & Denver Colorado in 1929-1933. He was a Chemical Engineer with Sun Glass Sand Co in Thhayer West Virginia in 1932-1933.
