Notes
a. Note:   OBITUARY
Mrs. Rosina Finkner, nee Diehm, was born March 08,1854 at Kembach Baden Germany. She was united in marriage to Adam Finkner in 1881. To this union were born eight children, one of them died in early childhood. In 1882 they came to America, and located near Sterling, where they have resided ever since. During the ministry of Rev. Ihne, she was converted to God and united with the Hopewell Methodist Episcopal church in 1883, and remained a faithful member of the same to the time of her death. Mother Finkner had not been very well for some time, yet her end came quite unexpectedly. She bore her suffering patiently and never complained, seeking always to hide her pain that she might not cause others unhappiness. She passed away in her home where she spent her life as a devoted wife and a loving mother. "She hath done what she could." She is survived by her husband, seven daughters, and are Mrs. Ed. Kritner, Mrs. Arthur Kritner, Mrs. Edw. Eilers, Mrs. Walter Feye, Mrs. Stanley Sacha, and the Misses Charlotte and Ernestine Finkner. She also leaves two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon, at 1 o'clock, Rev. Paustian of Hopewell church, officiating, and interment was in the Granite Hill Cemetery.
