  Mr. Verl Walter Wolfe and Miss Hazel Mae Robbins, both of near Fremont, were married in Oskaloosa Wednesday, September 22, 1920 at high noon, the ceremony being performed by Rev. J. M. Elam, pastor of the Fremont Christian church, at his home, 308 First Avenue East, the ring ceremony being used. The ceremony was witnessed by Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wolfe and Mrs. Enoch Robbins, of Fremont.
  The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wolfe and is a young man of excellent qualities. He served his country for almost a year during the recent world war, when he was honorably discharged. Since then, he has been in charge of his father's farm northwest of town. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Robbins, northeast of Fremont, and is a graduate of the Fremont High school, class of 1919. She is a most popular young lady and is held in high esteem by all. They have the best wishes of their many friends for a happy wedded life. The happy young couple will make their home on the Wolfe farm, the groom having had the home completely furnished.
  OBIT:
  Verl (Bud) Wolfe, 71, of 1107 B Avenue West died Wednesday (October 4, 1967) at his home. He was born July 9, 1896 at Fremont; the son of Samuel and Minnie Failyer Wolfe. He married Hazel Robbins, Sept. 22, 1920 at Oskaloosa and she survives.
  Wolfe was a retired foreman of the M & St. L. Railroad and had lived in Oskaloosa for the past 44 years. He served in the army during World War I from Sept. 4, 1918 to Aug. 6, 1919.
  Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Jay (Ruth) Cook of Waterloo, and Mrs. Larry (Betty Lou) Graham of Des Moines; four grandchildren and four brothers, John of Fremont, Cleo and Orville of Oskaloosa, and Marvin of Ray, Minn.
  Services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery. Graveside services will be performed by the Harry Anderson Post, Oskaloosa American Legion.
