a. Note:   OBITUARY William A Davidson. A one-time official of the Bank of Wheaton, William A Davidson, 82, died Monday at Cox Medical Center in Springfield. He was a retired executive vice-president of Safety Federal Savings and Loan Association. Mr. Davidson went to Springfield in 1936. He served with the organization until his semi-retirement in 1969. Before moving to Springfield, he served with the Department of Missouri Savings and Loan. He was a member of the First and Calvary Presbyterian Church, Downtown Kiwanis Club, veteran of WWI, a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge and Springfield Chamber of Commerce. He also was a member of the Wheaton Masonic Lodge and the Wheaton American Legion. He had served one year as president of the State Savings and Loan League, and a board member of the YMCA. Survivors include his wife, Maude, of the home at 2102 Windsor; a daughter, Mrs. L. C. Rainwater of Plano, Tx; and a sister. Mrs. J. E. Tucker of Cassville. Funeral services were at 10:30 am, today (Wednesday April 5, 1971) in Greenlawn Funeral Home with Reverend William E Everheart offciating. Internment was in Greenlawn Mausoleum.
