Note: OBITUARY Ellen C Tucker, 78, Exeter died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at South Barry County Hospital, Cassville after a long illness. She was born September 30, 1918, at Exeter. She was a lifetime Exeter resident. She graduated from Exeter High School in 1936. She worked with her husband several years in the office of the Tucker Electric. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Exeter. She married John L Tucker on October 17, 1936, in Barry County. He died June 17, 1990. Survivors include two sons, David Tucker, and his wife, Ethyl, Springfield, and Byron Tucker, and his wife, Bobbie, Cassville; a daughter, Judy Tucker, Springfield; six grandsons; and three great-granddaughters. Services were Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Bob Neely officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Sandy Tucker, Chris Tucker, Brennan Tucker, Kerby Claney, Shawn Tucker and Scott Tucker. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Exeter.
