a. Note:   1. Mary Ann GUNTON was born on 26 August 1839 at Cleveland where her father had just built a dwelling & a farriers shop. Just 19 years old Mary Ann married 28 years old old Deloraine farmer Patrick KEAN. Tragically, within twelve months Patrick was to die leaving Mary Ann & their infant child Jane. Five years later, in September 1865 at Cullenswood, Mary Ann married again to Robert Joseph RAINBOW, some six years her junior. They were to raise their family while farming near Fingal, & later at Ringarooma. Mar Ann died in Launceston in 1922 aged 82 years.
