Kitchens and Kintchen are interchangable in VA. as well as Kitchin." In "Transcription of County Archives of Mississippi No. 2 Adams County (Natchez) Volume 1 - Minutes of the Court of General Quarter Session of the Peace 1799-1801" pages 437, 439 there is a mention of a suit Benjamin Kitchens vs. Bryan Bruin. Kitchens recovered $46.50 in damages but the book does not indicate what the suit was about. This occurred on October 7, 1803. It's unknown whether this is Benjamin Zephaniah Kitchens.
