From Tina Bull: Joseph Franklin Kitchens is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Fannin County, which was in Grove Hill, TX. Grove Hill, TX was located just outside of Leonard, TX. His stone says he was born June 20, 1838 and Died Aug 1, 1900 and is engraved, "Dearest Father, thou hasth left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel, But tis God who hasth bereft us, He can all our sorrow heal." According to the Death Certificate of Danial Thomas Kitchens, his son, Joseph was born near Kingston, Georgia. Findagrave site has this info:Born in Georgia to Benjamin and Delphia Yancey Kitchens. Siblings: Lewis Davis, James Mick, Nancy C, Rachel, Elvina Jane, Benjamin, Jackson Richard. Married Cynthia Ann Murley 9-12-1858 in Tishomingo County, MS. Children: Daniel Thomas, Louis Benjamin, Joseph, Hester Catherine Ophelia, Jefferson Casey and Mary Cynthia Anna Liza Jane Kitchens. He was a Confederate soldier; 32nd MS Infantry, Co C, Confederate States. About 1888 they left for Texas. Cynthia is buried in Strickland Cemetery south of Cordell, OK.
