Note: First job away from home was for Acme Brick Plant in Denton, at about the age of sixteen.
Worked on the construction of Highway 77 south out of Denton, during the depression and about the same period of time helped his brother, Clarence run fishing camp at old Lake Dallas.
Had pneumonia about 1926 while family was living near Anson, Texas. He was in bed several months, almost died.
Frank, his dad, went to town of Anson to get medicine one day and got caught in a bad dust storm per ron's interview with his sister, Gertrude. 3/5/1996
Had dated Sylvia Phelps and she went to visit fred while he was sick per Ron's interview with EdnaFitzpatrick, 3/5/96.
Worked for D&B Machine Shop from approximately 1936 until 1942. Worked for Guiberson Oil Field Supply from about 1944 until retired.
