Note: Listed as one of the surviving children when Capt. Thomas Wallace died in 1830. Moved to Texas 1849. Letter from James Jasper Wallace, 1902 - died in Cherokee Co., TX Letter from Stella Reeder, 1944 - states moved to Cedar Plains, AL, then to TX in 1849. According to Stella Reeder, as told to Connie Ritchie on Dec. 7, 1996 - Thomas was a red head and slight of stature. Writings from Camille Sheilds Wallace - ...died in East Texas where he had moved about 1850. The date of his death is not know, but he was still living on March 31, 1854 when he was paid in arrears of his mother's pension. His wife, Polly, died soon after they came to Texas, while living in a tent while their home was being built. From Roster of Revolutionary Soldiers and Patriots in Alabama p. 602 -- "Moved to Cedar Plains, AL. In 1849 moved to Texas." Have document from County of Morgan, State of Alabama, Administrator of Rebecca Wallace deceased. It is dated 9 March 1854. Says that Thomas is 58 years old which would make his birth date ca. 1796. Also says that Joel died 17 December 1853 in Morgan Co.
