Note: Vetern of Indian Wars Came to Santa Anna from Wise Co., in 1895 Owned a cotton gin in Chico, Texas. Lived in Coleman, Texas in 1907.
Letter from Sallie Peacock, 1907 - states that James Jasper had only one brother, Uncle Milton (M. M.)
Letter from Mabel Mount Atkinson to Mrs. Peacock dated July 11, 1944 - "Milton Monroe Wallace who lived at Chico, Wise Co., TX where he owned a cotton gin, and my grandmother Martha Isabella Wallace Mount called him Uncle Monroe. His wife's name was Tabitha and they had a son call "Jap" who married Ida Calhoun. They had sons named Escar and Maxey".

After the death of Esther Houston Wallace, Joel Wallace married a widow by the name of Rebecca Sulick Jones. (Sallie Ann Wallace who married Thomas E. Peacock said Rebecca Sulick Jones' maiden name was Wall, and she married 1st a Sulick, and 2nd a Jones). Joel and his 2nd wife Rebecca Wall Sulick Jones Wallace, had James Jasper Wallace, and Milton Monroe Wallace.
Of these two sons, James Jasper was born in AL Feb. 12, 1830 and died Feb. 13, 1905 at Denton TX. He married 1st Elizabeth Hamilton about 1850 and soon afterwards migrated to TX and settled in Wise Co. About 1870 they moved to Denton TX. James Jasper and Elizabeth Hamilton Wallace had Milton Monroe who married Tabitha Blanton. Milton Monroe and Tabitha Blanton Wallace had a son named James Jasper Wallace who married Ida Calhoun of Chico, Wise Co., TX. James Jasper and Ida Calhoun Wallace had sons Escar and Maxey Wallace.
This writer went to elementary school with Maxie Wallace at Chico, Wise Co., TX. I have a very faint memory of him at my age of 77. He was at one time Mayor of Snyder, OK, where he moved from Chico, TX. <<<<<<<<<
