Note: r parents died when the children were quite young and they were raised by their maternal grandmother. The family was small of stature even by the standards of those times, Hilda being 5 ft. 10in with bright blue eyes and chestnut hair. At the time of her marriage to Weston Lee she took the name of "Annabel" and this name was commonly used. There is considerable longevity in this family. Besides her own children she and her husband legaly adopted their son Bernerds' daughter by his first marriage.
