Note: enever he needed to. Told to Joe (Clifford's grandson) by Treva Weeks(Clifford's granddaughter) in 2001. Over the years several family members had eluded to the fact that Leota (Clifford's daughter) had worked for Frank James as a cook. Clifford and some of his relatives around Grundy county were known to have been involved in moonshining. Clifford's granddaughter Toby(Leota's daughter) told Joe(Clifford's grandson) that Clifford had been run out of Oklahoma for selling whiskey to the Indians.Joe(Clifford Joe McAtee) was named after Clifford.
