Note: Also known as: Mark/ Markus / Marcus / Marquis Buried in Ceres, CA near Modesto, CA. Was Chief Sanitarian (Health Inspector) for Stanislaus County. Grandpa Mark was afflicted with a serious disease (believed to be cancer of the hand) that required amputation of his hand, leaving him with a hook hand. He was in great pain in his later years took his own life as he was unable to continue to bear the pain. A great tragedy for the family. The official death certificate has the portion meant for "cause of death" cut out. His adult son, Robert (age about 30), acted as the Coroner's informant for the Death Certificate. (Goldthorp)Odell at age 27, their two sons, Robert L. (7 years old) and Donald E. (4 yrs, 4 mos old). Also residing in household is Mark's 21 year old brother, Francis (shown as a laborer). Francis died later this same year and was buried in So. Dakota.
