COLUMBUS NEWSPAPER JUNE 20, 1918 (10/4) ----Walker Gaffney, George Bound over to grand jury on charges of robbery. Denied Preliminary Trial. Pleas of not guilty to charges of burglary and grand larceny were not accepted from three West Side men in municipal court yesterday and they were bound over to the grand jury. They had been arrested Tuesday, accused of robbing the residence of George Scott, 264 West Broad Street. George Gaffney, William Mathie and Frank Righter, all living at 526 West Cherry Street, were the prisoners. December 03, 1918 (7/7) -----Sharpe Gaffney, George Found Guilty on burglary and grand larceny charges Three Found Guilty Frank Righter, George Gaffney and William Mathie were found guilty in criminal court, before Judge Evans, on a charge of burglary and grand larceny. The three were charged withstealing meat last june from the Southern Transfer Company plant, 284 West Broad Street. December 04, 1918 (6/5) -----Sharpe Gaffney, George Found guilty by jury on shop charges seeks new trial SENT TO REFORMATORY ON A ROBBERY CHARGE Pleading guilty to a charge of robbery, Floyd Tique, colored, yesterday was sentanced to Mansfield reformatory by Judge Evans. He held up James Carter, colored, recently and robbed him of $2.20. Frank Richter jointly indicted with George Gaffney and William Mathie for alleged stealing of $10 worth of meat from Southern Express Company, was given a suspended sentances. All three were found guilty by a jury. The two will ask for a new trial. December 06, 1918 (6/8) -----Sharpe Sentanced to Ohio Pen upon commiting of burglary and grand larceny. TO PENITENTIARY FOR MEAT THEFT OF $10 Found guilty by a jury of burglary and grand larceny. George Gaffney and william Mithie yesterday were sentanced to the penitentiary by Junge Evans.
