  79 PASSES AWAY, Mrs Anna L. Gaffney, 79, died yesterday in a local hospital, a month after the death of her husband, John Milton Gaffney, had been a resident of Martinez for the past 23 years. Her home was at 2906 Merle Avenue. She was a native of Ohio. Surviving are two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Wilda George of Columbus, Ohio, William E. Gaffney of Palmdale, Mrs. Gladys Stambaugh of Stockton, and Charles A. Gaffney of Martinez: eight grandchildren: six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomarrow in the Connolly and Taylor Funeral Home by a Baptist minister to be named later. Inturnment in Memory Gardens Cemetery beside her latew husband will follow. Mr. Gaffney was a retired electrician.
