!JIM was united in marriage about 1892, to JOSSIE JONES, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. ANDERSON JONES, of Rome, MO. She departed this life a short time after their marriage. In 1896, he was married to VIOLA DELP. JAMES EVANS, with his family moved from Thornfield to Arapahoe, NB, in the spring of 1908. SAM CURRY & JOHN FROST had already moved to NB. John Frost went back to MO for a visit & on his return to NB, JIM EVANS made the decision to go with him. They spent their time farming in NB, until the time of Viola's death, 24 Feb 1918. She died of diabetes, dropsy & child birth at the age of 38. In 1921, after the death of his wife, JIM came back to MO & was married to MARY BUTTRAM (they separated & divorced.) In the fall of 1924, he was united in marriage to MARTHA JANE MALLONEE. JIM passed away at the age of 57, at the Spring- field Hospital, 8 Dec 1929, having undergone surgery for perforated ulcer of the stomach. They both lie at rest in Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
