  !Civil War: Served in the Union Army. (This is wrong; maybe it was his father or uncle who was in Civil War. THIS Abraham was born after the war.)
  !He was a farmer & lived & reared his family on a farm near Benner (Toledo), Ozark co, MO. This farm joined the JAKE EVANS & WILL EVANS Farms. In Sept. of 1918, they desired to find a warmer climate & moved to Mississippi. They left Missouri in covered wagons drawn by horses, taking 31 days. Bessie drove 1 of the teams. They had trouble when their horses & wagons would get stuck in the mud, this made it a very discouraging trip for the women folk. ABE & MATILDA also raised HOMER MALLONEE, 1904-1979. HOMER lies at rest in Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA. HOMER apparently wasn't their child.
