Note: Jerry was my Dad. He was about 5'10" and very strong with a broad physique, nice features, and lots of curly black hair and blue eyes--a handsome, young-looking man until he became ill near the end of his life. He was a very intelligent man and a strong personality and a go-getter. He started his own excavating business at a young age, and worked on some major projects in the area, such as the buiding of the East-West Freeway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the early 1960s and many other projects. He later also had a gentleman farm with my mother, raising cattle and corn, etc. Work was play for him. He also was quite sociable and a great accordian player--we will miss all the old waltzes & schottishes he played for family gatherings.
