a. Note:   So much fun to be with grandpa. Died of stomach cancer. Emigrated and arrived in America Feb 9 1911, went with Gennaro Colaianni (uncle?) to his cousin Giuseppe in Livingston, MN (Iron Range mining area). Moved to Minneapolis, married Giuseppa (Giusy) Truncali on October 15 1915. Built large home for family and boarders upstairs. Raised 5 children in this home, then built another home next door for just the two of them and children shared original home with family. Grandpa had his own grapes and made his own wine, worked as a laborer with Colaianni Bros., owned a family grocery store on 18th & Central and worked at grocery store and water works up until his death. I have grandpa's trademark lip. I had just recently turned 5 when he passed, but I have some fond memories. Him shaving in the old house, sitting on his knee to have a "sip" of wine during family Sunday dinners at their house. The laughter and stories that I do not remember.....
