Note: Jacques came from Nimes the capital of Languedoc in France. In 1688 he came to the Cape (South Africa), on the ship, the "Oosterlandt". After settling in the Cape he took ownership of the farm, "Languedoc" in Drakenstein. He married Marie and they had seven children.
