  Obituary for Sarah Lydia Carpenter Junction City Daily Union, December 19, 1973, Page 2, Col. 1-4 Sarah Lydia Carpenter Sarah Lydia Carpenter, age 96, 208 East Sixteenth street, died last night at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1877 in Bruceville, Ind., and had been a resident of Junction City since 1905. Mrs. Carpenter was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sp. James C. Kelso and was married to Stanley A. Carpenter, Feb. 8, 1897, in Morris County. She was a member of the Ruth Rebekah lodge No. 82. Her husband preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Cecil Carpenter, Clyde, Kans.; and Eugene J. Kuhn of Fresno, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Madeline Millard of the home; one brother, William E. Kelso, San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at the Mass-Hinitt Funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev. Terrill Worthington and Rev. Donovan Hinkson officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
