a. Note:   The 1920 federal census for Boyle Co., Kentucky shows his sister-in-law, Jane Mann, age 76, born in Kentucky, living in his dwelling. E. HOP MEYER PASSES AWAY Funeral Services To Be Held Here Wednesday Afternoon E. Hop Meyer died at his home three miles west of Danville, at 6:30 o'clock A. M. Monday, after a long illness, being confined to his bed for more than two years. He was in his eighty-fifth year, having been born in the old stone house on the Perryville pike, situated on the banks of Salt River, December 16th, 1849, and spent his entire life in this vicinity. He was the son of Major A. D. Meyer, one of Boyle counties early pioneer farmers and stockmen. Mr. Meyer was married November 30th. 1879, to Miss Alice R. Mann, of Mercer County, and to this union one son was born in 1882, who died at the tender age of seven years. Mrs. Meyer, who was a most excellent and beloved woman, passed to her heavenly reward ten years ago, thus leaving him alone in the declining days of his life. He is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Frank Martin, of Springfield, Ky., Mrs. H. B. Edelen, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., Mrs. Ardis B. Smith, of Sacaton, Arizona; Mrs. A. J. Scheiser, of Greenville, Calif.; Meyer Smith, of Honey Grove, Texas; J. Miller Meyer, of Ft. Worth, Tex.; William C. Browne, of the home address, and Edmund A. Browne, of Long Beach, Calif. He was a life long member of the Second Presbyterian Church of this city. Funeral services are to be held at the home Wednesday at two o'clock and his remains will be laid to rest by the side of his beloved wife and son in the Danville cemetery.
