a. Note:   Obituaries for Lester Gulick: Lester F. Gulick, 94, Olathe, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Olathe. He was born Dec. 10, 1905, in Sabetha, Kan. He worked for the Patrons Insurance Co. for 44 years before retiring. He was a past president (1937) of the Olathe (Area) Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of Olathe Masonic Lodge No. 19 for 71 years, and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Olathe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Gulick, in 1998. Survivors include two nephews and two nieces. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the W.L. Frye & Son Mortuary, Olathe. The graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Olathe, followed by a Masonic service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Deaf Culture Center, P. O. Box 811, Olathe, KS 66051; or the Grace United Methodist Church, 11485 S. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, KS 66061
