a. Note:   Obitary of Alice Cleary -- taken from "The Search" "Alice Cleary was born March 29, 1860 in Noble County, Ohio and died at Olathe, Kansas, February 9, 1922.
  She was married to A. F. Gulick December 21, 1879. They moved to Sabetha in 1882, first living on the farm and later in town until 1907 where they moved to Abilene, and later moved to Olathe.
  Mrs. Gulick has been a member of the Methodist Church for over forty years and was a devout Christian. She was devoted to her family and her home, was a good neighbor and a loyal friend. She was one of God's noblewomen who go about doing good. She had a smile and a kind word for every one and was especially helpful in sickness. Her kind word of sympathy have comforted many and her thoughtfulness has often made the way easier. The hospitality of the Gulick home was proverbial, the welcome genuine and the heart sincere.
  She is survived by her husband and the following children, Mrs. Ether Rice, Harrisonville, Missouri, William Gulick of Olathe, Kansas, Mrs. Anna Bromell of Rosedale, Kans., Edwin of Kansas City, Edna and Lester of the home. One son, Herbert, preceded her in the year 1905 at the age of thirteen years. Mrs. Gulick was a sister of Mrs. Eliza Thompson and Mrs. P. H. Danford.
  The funeral service was held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eliza Thompson on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. B. Vernon. Internment in the Sabetha cemetery."
  Her grave marker shows her name as Alice Gulick.
